The GME MT610G is GME's most compact and lightweight Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) a 406MHz GPS emergency beacon designed for individual carry by bushwalkers, 4WDers, remote workers, mariners, and aviators. Unlike the vessel-specific EPIRB (such as the MT603GAUS), the MT610G is a personal device for individuals operating in any remote or high-risk environment where emergency rescue may be needed.

When activated, the MT610G transmits a 406MHz digital distress signal via the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network to rescue authorities, including the vessel or person's GPS coordinates from the integrated 72-channel GPS receiver. Zero warm-up time means accurate position data is transmitted immediately. Cospas-Sarsat Class 2 certified for worldwide recognition.
