A conventional fixed-mount VHF radio installs as a single unit at the helm with all controls and display visible. The GX750W takes a fundamentally different approach: only the slim LCD controller microphone is visible at the helm, while the main transceiver unit is hidden in any protected vessel location. This frees significant dash space and produces a clean, uncluttered helm installation.

The main unit connects to the flush-mount MK013W controller socket via the included 500mm interconnecting lead. For greater separation between main unit and helm — on larger vessels or where the main unit is installed in a stern locker, engine room, or deep below-deck location — the optional LE107 6m extension cable provides up to 6 metres of separation.

The LCD controller microphone is a full-function interface: all radio functions including channel selection, watch modes, scan, priority channels, and display brightness and colour adjustments are accessible directly from the controller microphone. Large numbers on the display remain readable in bright sunlight and low-light conditions. IPX7 waterproofing means the radio withstands 1 metre submersion for 30 minutes.
