The GME GX400W is the white version of the GX400B a 27MHz Marine Band and CB transceiver in a single unit. Product overview

The GX400W combines 27MHz Marine Band and 27MHz Citizen Band operation in a single user-selectable unit, suited to vessels that operate in both coastal marine environments and on land. The marine band covers vessel-to-vessel and vessel-to-shore communication in Australian coastal waters using the 27MHz spectrum. The CB band provides land-based communication on the 27MHz citizen band frequencies. The user selects which band to operate on.

Channel 88 is the designated distress and safety calling channel on the Australian 27MHz marine band. The dedicated red emergency button provides immediate one-button access in an emergency without navigating menus or scrolling through channels. IPX7 waterproofing means the radio withstands 1 metre submersion for 30 minutes a meaningful protection level for an installed helm radio on a vessel exposed to spray and wash. The dual speaker system covers the helm via the front panel speaker and via the included waterproof speaker mic. An optional SPK45 extension speaker can be added for coverage at a second vessel location.

Both flush mount (65 x 165mm cut-out) and gimbal bracket surface mount options are included, with the compact 45mm mounting depth allowing installation in tight console and dashboard locations. The GX400W and GX400B are functionally identical the choice between them is based on vessel colour scheme.
