Frequently Asked Questions

When would I need an extension cable?

Most Gator GT heavy duty cameras have a 400mm cable from the camera to the PROLINK II connector, and kit harnesses are typically 2–6 metres. For very long vehicles — large trucks, long-wheelbase 4WDs, semi-trailers — the standard harness may not reach from the rear camera to the front-mounted monitor. The PLC10 adds 10 metres to the cable run.

Is the PLC10 already included in any kits?

Yes. The Gator GT704SD and GT904SD commercial reverse camera kits include a 10m PROLINK II extension cable as standard. The PLC10 is the standalone replacement or additional extension for other applications.

Can multiple PLC10 cables be daisy-chained?

Yes — multiple PROLINK II extension cables can be connected in sequence for very long runs. Signal quality may degrade over very long total lengths — contact the F.A.E. team if the total run length exceeds 20 metres.

Is the PLC10 compatible with non-Gator PROLINK II systems?
