Product Overview

The Gator GT70SDTK is a complete commercial grade reverse camera kit specifically designed for towing it includes two cameras, a 7-inch commercial display, trailer connection cables, and a curly cable for the trailer, making it a purpose-built solution for vehicles towing caravans, trailers, and horse floats.

Camera 1 (vehicle): The G354C compact butterfly mount camera mounts on the rear of the towing vehicle via a flexible bracket IP67 rated, 120-degree CMOS, PAL, 0.2 lux minimum illumination. No IR LEDs.

Camera 2 (trailer): The GT14SD compact heavy duty camera mounts on the rear of the trailer via a U-shaped bracket IP68 rated, 120-degree CMOS, PAL, 0 lux minimum illumination, 10 infrared LEDs for night vision.

The trailer camera connects to the vehicle via easy connect/disconnect trailer connectors and a curly cable, allowing the trailer to be disconnected and reconnected quickly. Three video inputs on the monitor allow a third camera to be added if needed.

Battery safety note: The IR remote includes a CR2025 coin cell battery. Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the trailer camera connect to the vehicle monitor?

The trailer camera connects via a curly cable and two easy connect/disconnect trailer connectors — one at the vehicle end and one at the trailer. This allows the trailer to be unhitched and reconnected quickly without re-wiring, and the curly cable expands and contracts with the movement between vehicle and trailer.

Does the vehicle camera have night vision?

No. The G354C vehicle camera does not include IR LEDs and has a minimum illumination of 0.2 lux — it requires some ambient light for clear vision. The GT14SD trailer camera has 10 infrared LEDs and operates at 0 lux for full night vision — which is more important for the trailer rear view.

Can a third camera be added to this kit?

Yes. The 7-inch monitor has three PROLINK II video inputs — two are used by the vehicle and trailer cameras, leaving one spare for an additional camera such as a side camera.

What is the difference between the GT70SDTK and the GT700SD?

Both use the same 7-inch monitor (800×480, 350cd, PROLINK II). The GT700SD is a standard single-camera kit. The GT70SDTK is a towing-specific dual-camera kit that adds the trailer camera, curly cable, trailer connectors, and a second harness — a purpose-built complete towing solution.
