Product Overview

The Gator GT43OEM is an OEM-appearance replacement rear view mirror with an integrated 4.3-inch high-resolution display. When a reverse camera is connected, the display activates on reversing, showing the camera feed with optional adjustable parking gridlines. When no camera signal is present, it functions as a standard auto-dimming mirror.

Auto-dimming glass automatically reduces glare from headlights and sun, improving driver comfort. The OEM wire harness cover gives the installation a factory appearance.

Included accessories: pre-supplied wiring harness, IR remote control, adjustable cable cover, clip-on cable holder, cable ties, and universal windscreen mount.

Optional mounting brackets are available separately for specific vehicle makes — see the compatibility note for available bracket SKUs.

Camera not included — the GT43OEM is a monitor only. It is compatible with any PAL or NTSC reverse or front-view camera with RCA output.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this mirror come with a camera?

No. The GT43OEM is a mirror monitor only. A reverse camera with RCA output (PAL or NTSC) must be purchased separately. See the Gator reverse camera range for compatible options.

Does the display show a mirrored (reverse) image?

No. The GT43OEM does not have an image flip function. The display outputs the camera feed without horizontal mirroring — the same as the GRV43KT and GRV50KT monitors. Contact the F.A.E. team if a mirrored display is needed.

What is auto-dimming and how does it work?

Auto-dimming glass automatically reduces the mirror's reflectivity when it detects bright light (such as headlights from behind). This reduces glare and driver fatigue without any manual adjustment.

Is a vehicle-specific mount required or is the universal mount sufficient?

The universal windscreen mount is included and will suit most vehicles. Vehicle-specific brackets (GTM2, GTM3, GTM27, etc.) are available separately for vehicles where the factory mirror mount point can be used for a more factory-integrated installation. Contact the F.A.E. team to confirm which bracket suits your vehicle.

Can I connect both a rear camera and a front camera to this mirror?

Yes. The GT43OEM has two RCA video inputs — one for a rear reverse camera and one for a front view or second camera. Both can be configured to activate at different times (reverse gear for the rear camera; manual or speed input for the front camera).
