Product Overview

The Gator GRV50KT is a complete wired reverse camera kit with a 5-inch dashboard monitor and a butterfly surface mount reverse camera. The larger 5-inch display over the GRV43KT provides a clearer view while still being compact enough not to obstruct the driver's forward view.

The monitor activates automatically when reverse gear is engaged, and deactivates when forward gear is selected. Picture adjustment buttons (brightness, contrast, saturation) are on the rear of the monitor for a clean appearance. Two video inputs allow a second camera to be added for front view or additional coverage.

What is the difference between the GRV50KT and the GRV43KT?

Both are complete wired reverse camera kits with the same camera specification (150-degree CMOS, IP67, NTSC, 5.5m cable) and monitor features (500cd, PAL/NTSC, 2 inputs, no mirror image). The GRV50KT has a 5-inch monitor (90×125mm); the GRV43KT has a 4.3-inch monitor (88×116mm). Choose the GRV50KT for a larger display.

Does the monitor display a mirrored image?

No. The GRV50KT monitor does not have an image flip function — the camera outputs a non-mirrored rear view image. Contact the F.A.E. team if a mirrored reverse display is required.

Can I add a second camera to this system?

Yes. The GRV50KT monitor has two RCA video inputs — a front view or second camera can be added and switched between on the monitor.

Is this kit suitable for trucks and 4WDs?

Yes. The GRV50KT is 12V compatible and suits cars, utes, 4WDs, and trucks. It is not designed for 24V commercial vehicles.
