Product Overview

The Gator GRV43SKT is a wireless reverse camera kit designed for simple plug-and-play DIY installation. The camera powers entirely from integrated solar panels and a 2100mAh rechargeable battery no camera wiring to the vehicle is needed. The 4.3-inch monitor mounts on the dash, vent, or windscreen and plugs into the vehicle's accessory socket.

The number plate mount camera fits any standard or slimline Australian registration plate. Wireless transmission reaches up to 17.5m. The display powers on and off automatically with the vehicle ignition, or manually via a button, and auto-times out after 45 seconds. A USB charge port on the camera allows recharging via USB when solar charging is insufficient.

Does this kit require any wiring?

The monitor plugs into the vehicle's accessory socket — minimal wiring. The camera is completely wireless and requires no connection to the vehicle. It runs on solar power and its 2100mAh battery, and can be topped up via the USB charge port on the camera itself.

What happens at night or in low light when solar charging isn't active?

The 2100mAh rechargeable battery provides power when solar charging is not available — for nighttime driving and low-light conditions. For extended periods of low sunlight (winter, covered parking), the camera can be recharged via the USB charge port using a USB charger (charger not included).

What is the wireless range and will it work on a long vehicle?

The maximum wireless transmission range is 17.5m. For standard passenger cars and most utes and vans, this is sufficient. For longer vehicles such as trucks or towing scenarios, measure the distance from the camera position to the cab-mounted monitor before purchasing to confirm 17.5m is adequate.
