A heavy duty 105dB squawk-type reverse alarm for trucks, trailers, loaders, forklifts, utes, vans, and 4WDs IP67 rated, 12/24V, durable nylon housing, –40°C to +80°C operating range.
The Gator GHDRASQ is a heavy duty reverse alarm that produces a "squawk" sound when the vehicle is reversing, alerting pedestrians and workers in the vehicle's path. At 105dB, it meets the audible warning requirements for heavy vehicles and industrial equipment in most operational environments.
IP67 rated nylon housing withstands harsh conditions, water, dust, and vibration. 12V/24V DC compatible suits passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, mining equipment, forklifts, and trailers. Universal surface mount design. Operates from –40°C to +80°C.
Stud-type electrical connections for robust wiring in industrial and commercial applications.

What is a squawk-type alarm and how does it differ from a beep alarm?
A squawk alarm produces a sharp, broadband "squawk" sound rather than the traditional tonal beep. The squawk is less directional and harder to pinpoint than a tonal beep — many safety standards now prefer squawk-type alarms in industrial settings because they are less likely to be masked by background noise and are perceived as a general warning rather than a specific directional cue, reducing the risk of confusion.
How is this alarm wired?
The GHDRASQ uses stud-type connections — it is wired directly to the vehicle's reverse light circuit (positive) and earth. When reverse gear is engaged and the reverse lights activate, the alarm triggers. Stud connections provide a robust, vibration-resistant electrical connection suitable for heavy commercial applications.
Is 105dB sufficient for industrial environments?
105dB is a high sound level suitable for most heavy industrial, mining, and construction environments. For particularly loud environments, confirm the required alarm level with your workplace health and safety requirements.
Does this alarm have a flashing LED warning light?
No. The GHDRASQ is an audible-only alarm with no LED. For a combined audible and visual warning, a separate LED warning light would need to be installed alongside the alarm.
Can this alarm be used on a trailer?
Yes. The 12/24V compatibility and IP67 rating make it suitable for trailer installation. Connect to the trailer's reverse light circuit — if using a towing connector, ensure the reverse light circuit is wired through to the trailer.
