The chrome version of the G158V a vehicle-specific tailgate handle replacement reverse camera for the Isuzu D-Max. Same specification: 150-degree, PAL/NTSC switchable, IP68, switchable guidelines and mirror image via loop, 8m extension cable.

Important: Suits models without factory locking tailgate. Covers all D-Max 2012–2015 variants and SX grade only from 2016–2020.

Product Overview

The Gator G158VC is the chrome finish version of the G158V Isuzu D-Max tailgate handle reverse camera. It replaces the factory tailgate handle with a chrome housing integrating a reverse camera suited to D-Max models with chrome or brushed tailgate handles where black would not match.

Same specification as the G158V: loop system for guidelines and mirror image, IP68, 150-degree, PAL/NTSC switchable, 8m cable. See the G158V listing for full installation and compatibility notes.

Only suitable for D-Max models without factory locking tailgate. 2016–2020 coverage limited to SX grade only.

Loop system:

  • Green loop: Default guidelines ON → cut to remove

What is the difference between the G158VC and the G158V?

The G158VC is chrome finish; the G158V is black. All other specifications are identical. Choose the chrome version for D-Max models with chrome tailgate handles; choose black for models with black handles.

What does "without factory locking tailgate" mean?

Some Isuzu D-Max grades have a factory locking tailgate integrated into the central locking system. The G158VC housing does not include a lock provision and is incompatible with this feature. Only D-Max models with a standard non-locking handle are suitable. Confirm your D-Max grade with the F.A.E. team before purchasing.

Why is only the SX grade compatible from 2016–2020?

From 2016, higher-spec D-Max grades (LS, LS-U, LS-M, etc.) gained factory locking tailgates. The SX is the base-grade D-Max which retained the non-locking handle. Confirm your grade before purchasing.
