Fast charge your batteries with the Enerdrive 12V 100A DC-DC Charger — a high-output dual-input charging solution combining up to 100A alternator input and 80A MPPT solar charging with intelligent multi-stage algorithms and a fully programmable remote LCD display.
The Enerdrive EN3DC100 is a professional-grade 12V 100A DC-DC battery charger engineered for high-demand systems across vehicles, trucks, caravans, motorhomes, and marine vessels equipped with large alternators. With two totally independent DC inputs — one for alternator charging and one for MPPT solar — the EN3DC100 can draw power from either source to charge a single house battery bank output, delivering up to 100A via the alternator or up to 80A from solar panels.
Designed specifically for large 4WDs, utes, trucks, and marine applications with high-output alternators (12V, 180A+), the EN3DC100 is not a standard fit-and-forget charger — it is a high-output system component. Consulting your vehicle or engine handbook, or your dealer, is recommended before installation to confirm alternator compatibility.
The default 100A output current is user-adjustable in 10A increments from 10A to 100A, allowing the unit to be configured for the vehicle's alternator capability. Four-stage charging (Test, Bulk, Absorption, Float) with multi-stage algorithms optimises charge speed and battery longevity across compatible battery chemistries including Lithium, AGM, Gel, Flooded, and Program battery types. The included remote LCD display provides full system monitoring and control without accessing the unit directly.
Ultra-fast charging delivers up to 100A from the alternator input or up to 80A from the dedicated MPPT solar input, making the EN3DC100 one of the highest-output DC-DC chargers in its class. For large battery banks in serious off-grid, marine, or commercial applications, this level of output significantly reduces charge times compared to lower-rated alternatives.
The two totally independent DC inputs allow the alternator and solar inputs to operate simultaneously, with the unit intelligently managing both sources to charge the single house battery bank output. The dedicated MPPT solar regulator tracks maximum power point at greater than 98% efficiency, extracting the maximum available energy from the connected solar PV array regardless of conditions.
Smart charging automatically monitors and regulates output to match the battery's specific requirements at each stage of charge. The output current is user-adjustable in 10A steps from 10A to 100A, providing flexibility for vehicles with smaller alternators or applications requiring a reduced charge rate. Four-stage charging — Test, Bulk, Absorption, and Float — ensures batteries charge quickly and are maintained correctly to extend service life.
Fan cooling via forced air ventilation maintains consistent high output in elevated ambient temperatures, preventing thermal throttling during demanding charging sessions. The IP32 ingress protection rating is suited to cool, dry mounting locations away from direct moisture exposure.
The included remote LCD display provides backlit readout of voltage, current, status, and error information, with CANBUS communication to the main unit. An optional battery temperature sensor port (RJ12) is available for temperature-compensated charging. Protection features cover reverse battery, short circuit, overcharge, and over-temperature conditions.

Is the EN3DC100 suitable for all vehicles?
The EN3DC100 is designed for large 4WDs, utes, trucks, and marine applications with high-output alternators (12V, 180A+). It is not intended for standard passenger vehicles with small alternators. Consulting your vehicle or engine handbook or your dealer before installation is strongly recommended to confirm alternator compatibility and avoid overloading your charging system.
Can both the alternator and solar inputs be used at the same time?
Yes. The EN3DC100 features two totally independent DC inputs — one for the alternator and one for MPPT solar — that can operate simultaneously to charge the single house battery bank output. The unit intelligently manages both sources for optimal charging.
What battery types are compatible with the EN3DC100?
The EN3DC100 supports Gel, AGM, Flooded, Lithium, and Program battery types. Flooded batteries also support equalisation charging. The selectable battery type setting allows the charging algorithm to be optimised for the specific chemistry in your house battery bank.
Can the 100A output current be reduced for smaller alternators?
Yes. The default 100A charging current can be stepped down in 10A increments to a minimum of 10A, allowing the unit to be configured to suit the rated output of your vehicle's alternator. This ensures the charger does not overload the alternator during operation.
What does IP32 ingress protection mean for installation planning?
IP32 indicates the EN3DC100 is protected against solid objects greater than 2.5mm and dripping water at up to 15 degrees from vertical. It is rated for installation in cool, dry locations such as enclosed storage areas, under-seat compartments, or dedicated electrical enclosures — not for direct exposure to rain, spray, or high-humidity environments.
