The Bendix exclusive insulation layer (Insulayer) is also incorporated between the backing plate and friction material assisting the adhesion of the pad material and minimising heat transfer to the rest of the braking system, in turn preventing boiling of the brake fluid which means you have a consistent positive pedal feel at even the most extreme operating temperatures.
