A CANBUS and fibre optic steering wheel control interface engineered for the Land Rover Freelander 2 (2007-2012) with MOST 25 amplified systems, the SWLR10C retains factory steering wheel controls and the MOST 25 OEM amplified system, and provides reverse trigger, park brake, speed pulse, illumination, and amp remote outputs with no wire cutting required.
The Aerpro SWLR10C is a CANBUS and fibre optic steering wheel control interface designed for the Land Rover Freelander 2 from 2007-2012 fitted with MOST 25 amplified systems. It includes a harness fitted with a vehicle-specific plug that connects directly into the existing factory wiring in the vehicle without cutting or modifying the factory harness. No additional modules are required for CANBUS or fibre optic vehicles.
The SWLR10C is compatible with SW-type patch leads (sold separately), supports the OEM phone button when connected to a compatible aftermarket Bluetooth head unit, and retains the MOST 25 OEM amplified system. To maintain the MOST 25 OEM amplified system, the aftermarket head unit must have RCA pre-outs. The cable from the OEM display must be removed and replaced with the included MOST loop (orange wire) to reroute the signal during installation. After installation, the original navigation display will only show the Land Rover logo and does not support date or time retention.
Outputs include reverse trigger (purple/white), park brake (green), speed pulse (pink), illumination (orange), and amp remote (blue). Custom button remapping is available and requires a USB-C cable (sold separately). Installation is simplified when the SWLR10C is paired with the optional Aerpro APP8 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately). The aftermarket head unit must be SWC compatible and steering wheel control functions may vary from OEM functions. Use the Aerpro Vehicle Selector to confirm the correct part for your specific vehicle before purchase.
Retains Factory Steering Wheel Controls with Aftermarket Head Unit: The SWLR10C allows the factory steering wheel audio controls to operate with a compatible aftermarket head unit, maintaining hands-on-the-wheel control without requiring the driver to reach for the head unit directly.
CANBUS and Fibre Optic Integration - No Additional Modules Required: The SWLR10C uses CANBUS and fibre optic integration for direct communication with the vehicle's CANBUS network and MOST 25 fibre optic audio bus, eliminating the need for additional interface modules in the Land Rover Freelander 2.
MOST 25 OEM Amplified System Retention: The SWLR10C retains the MOST 25 OEM amplified system in the vehicle. The aftermarket head unit must have RCA pre-outs for MOST 25 amplified system retention to function. The included MOST loop (orange wire) must be connected in place of the OEM display cable to reroute the fibre optic signal.
MOST Loop (Orange Wire) Included for Signal Rerouting: The SWLR10C is supplied with a MOST loop (orange wire) that must be installed by removing the cable from the OEM display and replacing it with the loop to correctly reroute the MOST 25 fibre optic signal during installation.
Vehicle-Specific Plug - No Wire Cutting Required: The SWLR10C harness is fitted with a vehicle-specific plug engineered to connect directly into the existing factory wiring in the vehicle. No cutting or modification of the factory wiring harness is required, simplifying installation and preserving the factory wiring integrity.
OEM Phone Button Support: The SWLR10C supports the OEM phone button on the steering wheel when connected to a compatible aftermarket Bluetooth head unit, allowing hands-free call answering and ending from the steering wheel controls.
Reverse Trigger Output (Purple/White): A reverse trigger output via a purple/white wire enables automatic switching to the reverse camera input on the aftermarket head unit when reverse gear is selected.
Park Brake Output (Green): A park brake output is provided via a green wire, supplying the park brake signal required by compatible aftermarket head units for safety feature operation.
Speed Pulse Output (Pink): A speed pulse output is provided via a pink wire for aftermarket head units that require a vehicle speed signal for navigation or speed-dependent volume functions.
Illumination Output (Orange): An illumination output is provided via an orange wire, allowing the aftermarket head unit to automatically adjust its display brightness in response to the vehicle's instrument illumination signal.
Amp Remote Output (Blue): An amp remote output is provided via a blue wire for triggering the retained OEM amplifier and compatible external amplifiers when the head unit is powered on.
Original Navigation Display Limitation: After installation, the original Land Rover navigation display will only show the Land Rover logo. Date and time retention are not supported.
Compatible with Aerpro APP8 Secondary ISO Harness: The SWLR10C is recommended to be installed with the Aerpro APP8 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately), which connects between the aftermarket head unit and the SWLR10C interface for a simplified and complete installation.

Does the SWLR10C require cutting of the factory wiring harness?
No. The SWLR10C harness is fitted with a vehicle-specific plug that connects directly into the existing factory wiring in the vehicle without cutting or modifying the factory harness.
Does the SWLR10C retain the MOST 25 OEM amplified system?
Yes. The SWLR10C retains the MOST 25 OEM amplified system. The aftermarket head unit must have RCA pre-outs for the amplified system retention to function. The included MOST loop (orange wire) must be installed by removing the cable from the OEM display and replacing it with the loop to correctly reroute the fibre optic signal.
What happens to the original navigation display after installing the SWLR10C?
After installation, the original Land Rover navigation display will only show the Land Rover logo. Date and time retention are not supported. This is a known limitation of the SWLR10C on the Freelander 2 platform.
Is a SWC patch lead included with the SWLR10C?
No. A steering wheel control patch lead is required to use the SWLR10C and must be purchased separately. Use the Aerpro Vehicle Selector to confirm the correct patch lead for your vehicle.
What is the MOST loop included with the SWLR10C used for?
The MOST loop (orange wire) is included to reroute the MOST 25 fibre optic signal after the OEM display cable is removed. During installation, the cable that connects to the OEM display must be disconnected and replaced with the MOST loop to maintain the integrity of the fibre optic signal loop required for MOST 25 amplified system retention.
