The Aerpro SWHY4C is an analogue steering wheel control (SWC) interface designed specifically for Hyundai Getz vehicles from 2002 to 2011. It allows the factory steering wheel controls to continue functioning after an aftermarket head unit is installed, without cutting into the vehicle's factory wiring harness. A vehicle-specific plug connects directly to the existing wiring. The aftermarket head unit must be SWC compatible.
Replacing the factory head unit in a Hyundai Getz removes the connection between the steering wheel control buttons and the audio system. The SWHY4C restores this connection by bridging the factory steering wheel control signals to the aftermarket head unit using an analogue interface and a patch lead (SW type). The vehicle-specific plug on the harness connects directly into the existing wiring without modification, keeping the factory loom intact and simplifying installation.
The SWHY4C does not retain phone button or voice assistant functionality. Custom button remapping is available if the default button configuration needs to be changed to match the aftermarket head unit a USB-C cable (sold separately) is required and remapping instructions are available from Aerpro. For a complete plug-and-play installation, pairing the SWHY4C with the Aerpro APP8 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately) is recommended to simplify the connection between the interface and the aftermarket head unit.
Retains factory steering wheel controls: Allows the factory steering wheel audio controls to function with an aftermarket head unit, keeping hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
Vehicle-specific plug for Hyundai Getz 2002 to 2011: The harness includes a plug designed to connect directly into the existing vehicle wiring without cutting or modifying the factory loom.
Analogue interface type: Analogue SWC interface with SW patch lead, suited to compatible aftermarket head units.
Custom button remapping available: Default button configuration can be remapped to suit different aftermarket head unit button assignments. Requires a USB-C cable (sold separately) and Aerpro remapping instructions.
Compatible with Aerpro APP8 ISO harness: Pairing with the Aerpro APP8 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately) simplifies the connection between the SWHY4C and the aftermarket head unit.

Will my factory steering wheel controls work with any aftermarket head unit? No. The aftermarket head unit must be SWC (steering wheel control) compatible for the SWHY4C to work. Check the head unit's specifications before purchasing. Most modern aftermarket head units from major brands include SWC compatibility.
Do I need to cut any factory wiring to install the SWHY4C? No. The SWHY4C harness includes a vehicle-specific plug that connects directly into the existing Hyundai Getz wiring without any cutting or modification to the factory loom.
Does the SWHY4C retain the phone or voice assistant buttons on the steering wheel? No. The SWHY4C does not retain phone button or voice assistant functionality. Only the audio control buttons are retained.
What is button remapping and do I need it? Button remapping allows the default assignment of the steering wheel control buttons to be changed to match the layout expected by the aftermarket head unit. Not all installations require remapping if the default configuration matches the head unit, no remapping is needed. If remapping is required, a USB-C cable (sold separately) is needed and Aerpro provides remapping instructions.
What is the Aerpro APP8 and do I need it? The Aerpro APP8 is a headunit secondary ISO harness that connects between the aftermarket head unit and the SWHY4C interface, simplifying the overall installation. It is sold separately and is recommended but not mandatory for the SWHY4C to function.
