The Aerpro ASSU16C is a vehicle-specific CAN Bus steering wheel control interface designed for Subaru factory amplified models, enabling installation of an aftermarket head unit while retaining factory steering wheel controls and the factory JBL or Harman Kardon premium amplifier system without cutting the original vehicle wiring harness. The kit includes an antenna adaptor, reverse camera retention adaptor, and AUX retention leads.

The ASSU16C retains the factory JBL or Harman Kardon amplifier (if equipped), factory reverse camera (RCA reverse camera input required on the aftermarket head unit), factory AUX input (RCA AUX input required on the aftermarket head unit), and factory antenna via the included adaptor. Outputs include reverse trigger (purple), park brake (green), speed pulse (pink), illumination, and amplifier remote. The ASSU16C uses a Type H patch lead and CAN Bus interface type. Installation is further simplified when paired with the Aerpro APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness, sold separately.
