Shipping information

We offer fast and reliable shipping options to ensure that your order arrives in a timely manner. Our dedicated team works diligently to process and ship your items as quickly as possible.

Here are some key points to note about our shipping policy:

Standard Shipping

  • Frankies offers a $15.95 flat rate for Australia-wide shipping, no matter how many items you order. Some larger or heavier items may incur an additional fee, which will be communicated to you when your order is processed.
  • While we endeavour to dispatch all orders promptly, please be advised that due to the current national fuel shortages in Australia and the resulting pressure on logistics networks, order processing and dispatch may take up to 7 business days. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party freight carriers or fuel-related logistical disruptions. By placing an order, you acknowledge that delivery timeframes may be extended beyond our standard estimates during this period.

Estimated delivery times:

  • WA, NT, and TAS: currently experiencing longer shipping times
  • Holiday periods (e.g. Christmas): deliveries may be delayed due to increased freight volumes

Express Shipping

  • Express shipping is available and calculated based on your delivery location, as well as the size and weight of your order. To receive an accurate quote, please contact our Albion Park Rail store and request an "express shipping quote." Our team will promptly assist with pricing and availability. Payment for express shipping can be securely arranged over the phone.

Product features

Hyundai and Kia Analogue SWC Interface Pure Steering Wheel Control Retention, No Additional Outputs or Integration

Product Overview

The Aerpro ASHY5C is an analogue steering wheel control interface for various Hyundai and Kia vehicles. It retains factory steering wheel audio controls and provides an illumination output that is its complete scope. Unlike CANBUS interfaces, the ASHY5C uses an analogue resistive interface suited to older Hyundai and Kia models where the SWC system uses a voltage-based resistive ladder rather than digital CANBUS data.

There are no reverse trigger, park brake, speed pulse, or amp remote outputs. No factory camera, USB, AUX, antenna, amplifier, or vehicle menu integration is provided. The ASHY5C is a targeted solution for vehicles where SWC retention is the only requirement.

The harness uses a vehicle-specific plug connecting directly to the factory Hyundai/Kia wiring without cutting. For a complete installation, pair with the optional Aerpro APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness (sold separately).

Features & Benefits

  • Analogue SWC interface — uses resistive voltage-based signal translation rather than CANBUS digital decoding; suited to Hyundai and Kia models with analogue SWC systems
  • Hyundai and Kia compatible — vehicle-specific plug; no cutting of factory wiring required
  • SWC retention only — retains factory steering wheel audio controls; no additional vehicle feature retention is provided by this interface
  • Illumination output — automatic display dimming when vehicle lights are on; the only output provided alongside SWC
  • No reverse trigger, park brake, or speed pulse outputs — buyers requiring these outputs should consider a different interface
  • No camera, USB, AUX, antenna, or amplifier retention — if any of these are required, this interface is not suitable; a more comprehensive interface or a separate adaptor kit is needed
  • Pairs with Aerpro APP8 harness (sold separately) — the APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness provides clean ISO connectivity between the ASHY5C and the aftermarket head unit

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an analogue SWC interface and how does it differ from CANBUS?

In an analogue (resistive) SWC system, each button on the steering wheel connects to the head unit via a single wire, and each button press changes the resistance value on that wire — the head unit reads the voltage and identifies which button was pressed. In a CANBUS system, SWC data is transmitted as digital packets on the vehicle's data bus. Analogue interfaces (like the ASHY5C) are simpler and suited to older vehicles; CANBUS interfaces (like the ASHY26C) are required for newer vehicles using digital SWC signal transmission.

What does this interface retain — what is not included?

The ASHY5C retains factory steering wheel audio controls and provides an illumination output. It does not retain or provide: reverse camera, reverse trigger output, park brake output, speed pulse output, factory USB, factory AUX, factory antenna, factory amplifier, or vehicle menu access. It is a SWC-only interface.

How does the ASHY5C compare to the ASHY26C?

The ASHY26C is an amplified Hyundai/Kia harness that includes SWC, camera retention, USB retention, and antenna adaptor. The ASHY5C is a much simpler analogue SWC-only interface with illumination output and no additional retention. The ASHY26C covers amplified models requiring a more comprehensive integration package; the ASHY5C suits older analogue SWC models where only SWC retention is needed.

Which Hyundai and Kia models use analogue SWC?

Analogue SWC was common in Hyundai and Kia vehicles built roughly before 2012–2015, before CANBUS SWC became standard. Models such as older Hyundai Santa Fe, Tucson, Elantra, and Kia Sportage, Sorento, and Cerato generations used resistive analogue SWC. Use the Aerpro Vehicle Selector to confirm whether your specific vehicle requires the ASHY5C or a CANBUS interface.

Is this the right interface if I also want to retain my reverse camera?

No — the ASHY5C does not provide reverse camera retention or a reverse trigger output. If reverse camera retention is required, you need a different interface such as the ASHY26C or a separate camera retention adaptor. Confirm the correct complete solution using the Aerpro Vehicle Selector.
