What is the Aerpro APUSBTO2?

A clip in dual USB socket that replaces a spare Toyota switch blank (22mm wide x 40mm high). One port fast charges at up to 2.1A and the other passes audio through to the head unit.

Do I need a certain head unit?

Your aftermarket head unit needs a rear USB input for sync. Charging works either way.

How is it wired?

Power, earth and illumination, plus the USB lead to the back of the head unit.
