Aerpro AP342 FM Signal Booster

Aerpro AP342 10dB FM Signal Booster Antenna Amplifier

The AP342 is a 10dB FM signal booster from Aerpro, designed to improve FM reception clarity and strength in fringe reception areas. Fitted with a 53cm antenna cable and power cable, it supports in-dash or under-dash mounting for flexible installation in a wide range of vehicles.

Product overview

The Aerpro AP342 is an active FM signal booster that provides 10dB of gain across the FM spectrum, improving reception strength and clarity in locations where FM signal strength is weak or at the edge of coverage. The 53cm antenna cable and power cable are pre-fitted, providing the connections required for installation without additional cable sourcing in most applications. The AP342 supports both in-dash and under-dash mounting positions, allowing the unit to be installed in a location that suits the vehicle's available space and wiring routing.

Features and benefits

10dB gain across the FM spectrum: Provides 10dB of amplification across the full FM frequency band, improving signal strength and reception clarity for all FM stations rather than boosting only a narrow frequency range.

Improves reception in fringe areas: Designed specifically for fringe reception areas where FM signal strength is weak or at the edge of coverage, where standard antenna systems produce poor clarity or dropout.

Pre-fitted 53cm antenna cable and power cable: A 53cm antenna cable and power cable are pre-fitted to the unit, providing the connections required for installation without additional cable sourcing in most applications.

In-dash and under-dash mounting options: Supports both in-dash and under-dash mounting positions, providing installation flexibility across a wide range of vehicle dash configurations and available spaces.

FAQ

What is the Aerpro AP342?

The AP342 is a 10dB FM signal booster from Aerpro, designed to improve FM reception clarity and strength in fringe reception areas.

What does 10dB of FM gain mean in practical terms?

10dB of gain means the AP342 amplifies the FM antenna signal to approximately 3 times its original strength before it reaches the stereo. In fringe reception areas where the signal is weak, this additional amplification can make the difference between a clear, stable FM reception and a weak, noisy signal with dropout.

Will the AP342 improve FM reception on all stations?

Yes. The AP342 provides 10dB of gain across the full FM spectrum, meaning all FM stations within the reception area benefit from the signal boost rather than only a narrow frequency range.

Can the AP342 be mounted under the dash instead of in the dash?

Yes. The AP342 supports both in-dash and under-dash mounting positions, allowing the unit to be installed in the location that best suits the vehicle's available space and wiring routing.

Does the AP342 require a power connection?

Yes. The AP342 is an active signal booster and requires a power connection for operation. A pre-fitted power cable is included with the unit. Contact us for guidance on sourcing the power connection in your specific vehicle installation.

Is the AP342 compatible with all vehicle stereo systems?

The AP342 is a universal FM signal booster designed for use with standard vehicle antenna and stereo systems. Compatibility with your specific vehicle and stereo should be confirmed before purchasing. Contact us for guidance on suitability for your specific installation.
