This is necessary because the Wireless Smartphone Mirror needs access to your vehicle's battery while the car is turned off. The hardwire kit facilitates this and the AM9M02R actively manages the device's power usage based on the vehicle's battery levels, ensuring that your battery does not run flat

Free Up Your Accessory Socket
The Aerpro Smart mirror comes supplied with a power plug that connects to the accessory socket in the vehicle. Using the Aerpro AMHWK1 USB-C Hard Wire Kit with your AM9M02R, means the accessory socket will no longer be used to power the dash cam, freeing it up to use for other devices in the vehicle.
