Product Overview

The Aerpro AMDMC3 is a complete head unit upgrade kit for the Mercedes-Benz Vito W447 (2015–2021). It replaces the factory unit with a 9" capacitive touchscreen at 1024x600 resolution, adding wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in DAB+ digital radio, and Bluetooth V5 while retaining factory steering wheel controls and the factory reverse camera where equipped.

The kit includes the AM905D multimedia receiver, gloss black facia kit, SWC interface harness, SWC patch lead, antenna adaptor, camera retention adaptor, and a 720P AHD universal rear camera. No dash modification is required, and there is no park brake wire requirement on this kit. Factory amplifier is not retained; USB input, AUX input, parking tones, and vehicle menu are all N/A for this platform.

How does this differ from the AMDMC2, which also covered the Vito?

The AMDMC2 covers the older Vito W639 (2006–2014) alongside several other Mercedes and VW commercial models. The AMDMC3 is specific to the newer W447 Vito (2015–2021). The AMDMC3 adds factory reverse camera retention (via an included camera retention adaptor) that the AMDMC2 does not include, but does not retain the vehicle menu that the AMDMC2 preserved.

Does the Vito W447 have a factory reverse camera?

Some W447 variants are factory-equipped with a reverse camera; others are not. The AMDMC3 includes a camera retention adaptor, which preserves the factory camera signal where fitted. The 720P AHD universal rear camera is also included in the kit, providing reversing visibility on variants without a factory camera.

Is the factory amplifier retained?

No — the AMDMC3 does not include an amplifier retention harness. After installation, the head unit drives the speakers directly. If your W447 has a factory amplified system that you want to retain, check with Aerpro whether an alternative integration solution exists.

Does this suit the older Vito W639?

No — the AMDMC3 is designed for the W447 (2015–2021) only. The older Vito W639 (2006–2014) is covered by the Aerpro AMDMC2 instead.

Does this installation require any dash modification?

No — unlike the Aerpro AMDMC4 (Mercedes C-Class/CLC) which requires sub frame modification, the W447 Vito installation with the AMDMC3 does not require any cutting or trimming of factory dash components.
