Shipping information

We offer fast and reliable shipping options to ensure that your order arrives in a timely manner. Our dedicated team works diligently to process and ship your items as quickly as possible.

Here are some key points to note about our shipping policy:

Standard Shipping

  • Frankies offers a $15.95 flat rate for Australia-wide shipping, no matter how many items you order. Some larger or heavier items may incur an additional fee, which will be communicated to you when your order is processed.
  • While we endeavour to dispatch all orders promptly, please be advised that due to the current national fuel shortages in Australia and the resulting pressure on logistics networks, order processing and dispatch may take up to 7 business days. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party freight carriers or fuel-related logistical disruptions. By placing an order, you acknowledge that delivery timeframes may be extended beyond our standard estimates during this period.

Estimated delivery times:

  • WA, NT, and TAS: currently experiencing longer shipping times
  • Holiday periods (e.g. Christmas): deliveries may be delayed due to increased freight volumes

Express Shipping

  • Express shipping is available and calculated based on your delivery location, as well as the size and weight of your order. To receive an accurate quote, please contact our Albion Park Rail store and request an "express shipping quote." Our team will promptly assist with pricing and availability. Payment for express shipping can be securely arranged over the phone.

Product features

9" Wireless CarPlay for Triton GLX-R and Challenger W776 Factory Units, Vehicle Menu Retained, Park Brake Required

Product Overview

The Aerpro AMDMB3 is a complete head unit upgrade kit designed for the Mitsubishi Triton MN GLX-R (2012–2014) and Challenger PB (2012–2013) fitted with the W776 factory head unit. It replaces the factory unit with a 9" capacitive touchscreen at 1024x600 resolution, adding wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in DAB+ digital radio, and Bluetooth V5 while retaining steering wheel controls (including the phone button) and vehicle menu access.

The kit includes the AM905D multimedia receiver, black facia kit, SWC interface harness, SWC patch lead, plastic pocket, and head unit removal keys plus a 720P AHD universal rear camera to add reversing visibility to these vehicles which have no factory reverse camera. Note that factory USB input is not retained; the head unit's own USB ports replace that function.

Features & Benefits

  • W776 factory unit specific — engineered for Triton MN GLX-R and Challenger PB models fitted with the W776 factory head unit; not compatible with other factory unit variants in these vehicles
  • Vehicle menu access retained — the AMDMB3 preserves access to the Mitsubishi vehicle menu after installation, an uncommon feature for an aftermarket upgrade on this platform
  • SWC retained including phone button — SWC interface harness and patch lead included; all factory steering wheel controls carry over without manual programming
  • PTT function — manual programming required — the Push-To-Talk button function is supported but requires manual programming in the aftermarket head unit after installation
  • Head unit removal keys included — purpose-made removal keys for extracting the W776 factory unit cleanly without damage to the factory trim
  • Plastic pocket included — provides a mounting solution for the cavity left by the factory head unit within the new installation
  • Factory 6-button red display relocation available separately — the factory red button display can be relocated using the FP8013TR (Triton) or FP8013CR (Challenger) relocation panel, sold separately
  • Park brake wire connection required — Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will not activate unless the park brake wire is correctly connected to the park brake during installation
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto — connect over Wi-Fi for maps, music, calls, and messages; wired USB connection also supported for simultaneous phone charging
  • 9" capacitive touchscreen at 1024x600 resolution — a major upgrade over the W776 factory display with full touch control across media, navigation, and settings
  • Built-in DAB+ digital radio — digital audio clarity and expanded station access; AM/FM with RDS, 18 FM and 12 AM presets included
  • Bluetooth V5 with HD Voice — hands-free calling, audio streaming, and phonebook access; internal and external microphone included
  • 720P AHD universal rear camera included — Sony 225 1/3" CMOS sensor, 150-degree lens; adds reversing visibility to vehicles not factory-equipped with a reverse camera
  • 4 x 50W max output with 5CH 4V RCA preouts — supports external amplifier integration via front/rear/sub preamp channels

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my Triton or Challenger has the W776 factory unit?

The W776 is the factory head unit designation for the Triton MN GLX-R (2012–2014) and Challenger PB (2012–2013). Check the label on your existing factory head unit or use the Aerpro What Fits Your Car Guide to confirm before purchasing.

What happens to the factory 6-button red display?

The factory 6-button red display is not automatically retained or relocated by this kit. To retain and relocate it, a separate relocation panel is required — the FP8013TR for Triton or the FP8013CR for Challenger, both sold separately.

Why does the park brake wire need to be connected?

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the AM905D head unit require the park brake wire to be connected to the actual park brake. Without this connection, both functions will not activate. This is a safety interlock built into the head unit.

What is the PTT function and does it need programming?

PTT (Push-To-Talk) is a factory steering wheel button function used for voice commands or communication features. The AMDMB3 supports PTT retention, but the function requires manual programming within the aftermarket head unit after installation — it does not carry over automatically.

Does the Triton GLX-R or Challenger have a factory reverse camera?

No — neither the Triton MN GLX-R nor the Challenger PB is factory-equipped with a reverse camera. The kit includes a 720P AHD universal rear camera to add reversing visibility from scratch.
