Product Overview

The Aerpro AKSZ7 is a 9 inch installation kit engineered specifically for the Suzuki Jimny (2018-on). The kit includes all components required to mount a universal trapezoid shaped 9 inch radio into the dashboard while retaining steering wheel controls including the phone button, factory reverse camera if the vehicle is equipped with one, AUX input, and USB input.

Compatible head units include the Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT, Kenwood DMX80AXS, Alpine INE-AW409S and INE-AX809, Aerpro AM9X, and various Android head units. A head unit ISO harness is not included - the Aerpro APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness is recommended and sold separately. This kit does not support Pioneer CAN Bus features. On boot-up, instead of selecting CAN Bus Adapter, go to Menu and select Steering Wheel Control > With Adapter. Feature retention is radio dependent. This kit is not compatible with standard DIN or double DIN sized radios.

Is an ISO harness included in this kit?

No. The AKSZ7 does not include a head unit ISO harness. Aerpro recommends pairing this kit with the Aerpro APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness, which is sold separately. Please add the APP8 to your order to complete the installation.

Does this kit support Pioneer CAN Bus features?

No. The AKSZ7 does not support Pioneer CAN Bus features. When using a Pioneer head unit, on boot-up do not select CAN Bus Adapter. Instead, go to Menu and select Steering Wheel Control > With Adapter to correctly configure the steering wheel control interface included in this kit.

Does this kit retain AUX and USB inputs?

Yes. Both AUX and USB input retention are supported by this kit. The factory USB retention harness is included. Feature retention is radio dependent, so please confirm compatibility with your chosen head unit before installation.

Does this kit retain parking tones?

No. Parking tone retention is not supported by the AKSZ7 kit.

Will this kit work with standard double DIN head units?

No. The AKSZ7 is designed exclusively for universal trapezoid shaped 9 inch radios. It will not suit standard DIN or double DIN sized radios. Please confirm your head unit shape before purchasing.
