The Aerpro ADVUSBCD is a USB powered CD player that plugs into your vehicle USB port, so you can play discs in a newer car that came without a CD slot.

Plenty of people still have a shelf of CDs, and most new cars no longer have anywhere to put them. This unit connects to the factory or aftermarket USB media input and shows up like a USB stick, so you change tracks from the radio and in many cars the steering wheel buttons.

Fitment and what comes in the box

Check your radio before you buy. Copy three WAV music files to a USB stick and plug it into the factory USB port. If they play without skipping and you can go to the next and previous track, the ADVUSBCD should work in that car.

Installation notes

Aerpro supplies a bracket, double sided tape and screws for fixing the player in a console or glovebox. The radio may not see the player until a disc is in, and detection can take 10 to 20 seconds after you insert it.

Frequently asked questions

Will the ADVUSBCD work with my car radio?

Do the WAV test: load three WAV songs on a USB stick and try them in the factory USB port. If they play and skip forward and back, it should work.

Can I play audiobooks on it?

Only if each track is 30 minutes or shorter, because that is the longest track it will play.

Will I see the song names on my screen?

Some radios show the titles and others only show track numbers. It depends on the head unit.

Why does it not appear straight away?

The radio may not detect the player until a disc is loaded, and that can take 10 to 20 seconds.
