Free vehicle pick up and delivery

We collect your car, do the job at the workshop, and bring it back. We do not repair or fit anything at your place. That is not a mobile call out.

There is no charge for the pick up or the drop off when the conditions below are met. You pay for the workshop job only.

Free vehicle pick up and delivery is not the same as Australia wide parcel shipping.

Where we collect from

Albion Park Rail covers these Illawarra areas:

Wollongong, Shellharbour, Dapto, Kiama, Albion Park, Oak Flats, Warilla, Shell Cove, Albion Park Rail, Barrack Heights, Shellharbour City Centre, Gerringong, Flinders, Kanahooka, Lake Illawarra, Blackbutt, Calderwood, Mount Warrigal, Jamberoo, Tullimbar.

South Nowra covers these Shoalhaven areas:

Nowra, South Nowra, Bomaderry, Worrigee, Vincentia, Sanctuary Point, St Georges Basin, Ulladulla, Huskisson, Culburra Beach, Callala Bay, Berry, Cambewarra, Shoalhaven Heads, Falls Creek, Milton.

If your suburb is not on the list for that store, contact us before you book. Do not assume free pick up applies.

Workshop days and weekend pick up

Albion Park Rail workshop jobs: Monday to Friday, and Saturday. No Sunday workshop jobs.

South Nowra workshop jobs: Monday to Friday only. No weekend workshop jobs.

Weekend pick ups and drop offs are not standard. They only happen when a special arrangement is made with the store when you book. Do not assume a Saturday or Sunday pick up or drop off is available.

Conditions apply (vehicle pick up)

These conditions must be true for free vehicle pick up and delivery:

1. The car can be driven safely on the road. Free pick up is for driveable cars only. Towing is not included in free pick up. If the car will not start, or it is not safe to drive, it must come in on a tow. You can arrange the tow yourself, or ask us to arrange it for you at your expense.
2. The car is registered under NSW registration rules, or it is unregistered and coming in for repair so it can pass a pink slip or blue slip. In that second case the car must still be driveable for free pick up. Unregistered cars that are not coming in for pink slip or blue slip work do not qualify for free pick up.
3. The pick up address is on the Illawarra list for Albion Park Rail, or on the Shoalhaven list for South Nowra.
4. You book first by phone or email. Do not leave a car waiting without a booking.
5. The workshop has a free bay for your booking. Return timing is confirmed when you book. Same day return is not automatic.
6. Keys, access and a contact number are ready at the pick up address at the agreed time.
7. The booking falls on a workshop day for that store (see Workshop days and weekend pick up above). Weekend pick up or drop off needs a special arrangement with the store.

If a condition cannot be met, we will say so when you book and give you the options, such as drive in, a tow at your expense, or a later slot.

Tell us the car make, model and year, what needs doing, where to collect from, and a phone number that will answer on the day. We confirm pick up and return timing when we take the booking.

Product shipping (online orders)

When you buy products on frankiesautoelectrics.com.au for delivery, different rules apply. This is freight for parcels and kits, not vehicle pick up.

Standard shipping

Australia wide flat rate shipping is $15.95 including GST, no matter how many items you order. Larger or heavier items may cost more. We confirm that when your order is processed.

Dispatch timing depends on stock and the live shipping policy on the site. See the shipping policy page for the current dispatch wording before you order.

Delivery to most capital cities and larger regional centres is typically a few business days after dispatch. Rural and remote areas can take longer. WA, NT and TAS can take longer. Public holidays and peak periods can add delay.

We are not liable for delays caused by third party freight carriers. Tracking is emailed once your order ships.

Express shipping

Express shipping is available and priced by delivery location, size and weight. Contact the Albion Park Rail store and ask for an express shipping quote. Payment for express can be arranged securely over the phone.

Addresses we cannot ship to

We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers because of insurance restrictions. Ask us about an alternative address if you need one. Extra fees may apply.

International shipping

We do not ship to international addresses at this stage.

Damage in transit

Report transit damage within 24 hours of delivery so we can lodge a freight insurance claim. Claims outside that window cannot be accepted.

Email clear photos or video of the packaging and the damage to sales@frankiesautoelectrics.com.au. Keep proof that you notified us within 24 hours. Submit a formal written claim within 7 business days of receiving the goods.

Stock and backorders

Website stock includes items in our Albion Park Rail and South Nowra stores, our online warehouse, and supplier stock. If you need something for immediate supply, contact us before you order.

If an item is not in stock, we will contact you about timing. If a backorder lead time looks long, we will email you.

Conditions apply (product delivery)

1. Flat rate $15.95 including GST covers standard Australia wide shipping unless we confirm a higher freight fee for a large or heavy item before dispatch.
2. Dispatch timing follows the live shipping policy and stock on hand. It is not the same as free vehicle pick up.
3. No P.O. Box or Parcel Locker delivery.
4. No international delivery.
5. Transit damage must be reported within 24 hours with photos, then a written claim within 7 business days.

Call the store first. Counter collect rules (ready timing, which store, and what to bring) are confirmed when you call. Do not assume same day hold without speaking to the store.

FAQs

Do you pick up my car for free?

Yes, when the vehicle pick up conditions on this page are met. Free pick up is for driveable cars in the listed suburbs for that store. There is no charge to collect the car or bring it back. You pay for the workshop job. Towing is not included.

Do you come to my place and fix the car there?

No. All work is done at the workshop. We do not do mobile or call out jobs. What we can do is pick the car up when it can be driven, do the job at the workshop, and drop it back.

What if my car will not start?

Free pick up is only for cars that can be driven. The car must come in on a tow. You can arrange the tow yourself, or ask us to arrange it for you at your expense. Once it is at the workshop, we take it from there for the booked job.

Can you arrange the tow for me?

Yes, if you want us to. The tow is at your expense. Free pick up and delivery does not include towing.

Which store picks up in my suburb?

Albion Park Rail covers the Illawarra list on this page. South Nowra covers the Shoalhaven list. If your suburb is not listed, contact us before you book. Do not assume free pick up applies.
